Was born January 31st, 1961

Daughter of Sally Smith

A strong & beautiful, independent woman

In a house made of love

She grew up right

Though too smart for her own good

Her future looked bright

She was stunningly beautiful

With a heart made of gold

Destined to be a mother

With children to love and hold

After falling in love

And becoming a wife

She had Leah, Sarah, and Jacob

The loves of her life

For years she managed

To balance family life and having fun

Strong enough to control it- she thought

Before she knew it, the addiction had won

Consumed with so much guilt

From years lost she couldn’t get back

Her demons grew stronger and stronger

Their hold she could not crack

On March 26th, 2015

Family and friends said good bye to Jessie Lea

Though it’s sad, it’s also comforting

She finally found peace, she’s finally free

Jessie was preceded in death by her mother, Sally Smith; and her brother, Dennis Smith Jr. She is survived by her 3 children, Leah, Sarah, and Jacob (Davenport), as well as 3 grandchildren, Aubryana, Lilly, and Izaiah.
