Jeannett Marie West

Jeannett Marie West, 42, was born to Eva Smith in Houma, Louisiana on September 27, 1980 accompanied by her twin sister, Lynnette. Jeannett passed away peacefully in the comfort of her mother’s home on September 15, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Jeannett was an unforgettable daughter, sister, mother, and friend. From the moment she was born she left an imprint on all those lucky enough to meet her and she would continue to do so for her very short 42 years of life. Whenever Jeannett was around you heard her before you saw her. Her laugh was infectious and truly unforgettable and she had a smile that could light up the darkest room.

Her proudest accomplishment was her only son, Quentin Grunewald. She loved him more than anything in the world and cherished the time they spent together camping or just goofing around.

Jeannett will be sadly missed by her beloved son, Quentin; mother, Eva; twin sister and best friend, Lynnette; sister, Brandy; and brothers, Wayne and Richard; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends.

Jeannett was preceded in death by her father, Leo West.

Private memorial services were held at Runge Mortuary.
