I had the privilege of going to middle and high school with Jim. He was always  learning and very inquisitive. Always the first one to throw out a witty appropriate joke with perfect timing. 
Playing soccer and football with Jim was special. He was tenacious and always gave 110% effort in any endeavor.
 I am saddened to hear of Jim’s passing at such a young age. 
As in life, I have no doubt that Jim is serving God, asking all of those questions that went unanswered in life and doing special things.
My condolences to Jim’s family and close  friends.

It was my true pleasure to know such a special family. I remember seeing you and Jim
walk into Rivermont and thinking, “now there is a beautiful, committed couple supporting their terrific children and their education”.   Kathy, the forever smile on your face was proof of the pure happiness you had with your beloved Jim.

I was shocked and so sorry to learn of Jim’s passing.  I am at our cottage in northern WI when I learned of your loss!  Jim was such a thoughtful, yet fun loving man.  He gave his all for you and you family and beyond to his community!  
Please know that my thoughts  and prayers are with you all!  

I grew up in the same neighborhood as Jim and knew the family well.  I will always remember Jim's smile just like the shared photo.  I did not have contact with him as an adult but I am so impressed by the family man and man of faith he was.  We will pray for his wife, children, Mrs. Brindle and the Brindle family.

Such great neighbors while on Sea Oaks Circle.  Jim introduced our family to the best salmon ever!   Our family sends your family prayers for peace and comfort.  

 I worked with Jim at John Deere and enjoyed sharing conversations about religion with him. After attending the women's CEW weekend in 2014, I shared my experience about it and he signed up for the men's retreat a week later. A true tragedy that Jim has passed at such a young age. I was fortunate to get to know Jim in college - the University of Puget Sound - and we travelled together in Asia for nine months during our senior years as part of the Pacific Rim program. We became close friends, sharing many good meals, discussions and adventures across nine countries. It looks like Jim was able to live out the life that it sounded in college that he wanted.  It is just too bad that it wasn't longer.

As a member of Jim's Pacific Rim cohort in 1984-85, I am shocked and saddened to hear of his passing at such a young age. My sincerest condolences to Colleen, Kathy, Maddie, Emma-Kate, and Sam.

I have very fond memories of working side-by-side with Jim in the scorebox at countless hockey games.  He always had a smile on his face and loved watching the kids play.  I also saw him on occasion in the halls at John Deere and he took great pride in telling me how the kids were doing.  He absolutely adored his family.

Jim was a great mentor, and a better friend when I moved to Moline with John Deere.
I particularly enjoyed our discussions about philosophy and religion, he was a very intelligent and selfless person with all that knowledge.
I know he loved his family very much and always talked about how proud he was of Ema, Maddie and Sam.

I was heartbroken when I learned of Jim's passing.  I never once met Jim Brindle without a smile on his face and most often with  a hug to share.  Jim, Kathy and the kids were a part of our very special 'hockey family'. Though the years have passed and we see each other less and less,  family is always close to your heart, as The Brindle Family always was to ours.  Jim was such a great example of a kind, caring, devoted and proud husband and father.  He was an amazing friend to all that knew him. I am so blessed to have seen Jim just a few weeks ago at the grocery store and that I was able to see that huge smile and get a big, Jim hug one last time.  I had the two littlest boys with me and he was so shocked at how much Jace looks like Zack did at that age.  He was ALMOST speechless.  Kathy, Maddie, Emma and Sam, we love you all so much , may you take some comfort in all the love and prayers that are  pouring down on you all right now. 

Kathy, Maddie, Emma Kate and Sam, I am so deeply saddened by the passing of Jim.  He truly was one of the good guys.  He was always one to have fun, never in a bad mood, always welcoming to everyone.  I often look back on all of the wonderful times we spent together.  Jim and Kathy were always there for me when I was a single person and we always had fun, no matter what we did.  He worked so hard at John Deere and was a great father to his kids and always treated Kathy with such respect for the hard work she did at home running the household.   I will forever cherish the fun times we had and am so lucky to have had Jim and Kathy as my very good friends for so many years.  You are all in my prayers as you struggle to make sense of this and move forward without your greatest love. I love you all!!!   Auntie Sharon/Shark

I am beyond saddened to hear of Jim's passing. I am so thankful , through my daughter Sharon that I have the privilege of meeting and knowing this wonderful family.  Jim was truly a dedicated husband , dad and son. My heart is 💔 for you Kathy and your kids. God Bless you specially and be with you through these hard days. Hugs and more. 

Jim was someone I looked to as a role model, not only in the workplace but also as an example of how to be a husband, father and friend.  Jim, you made a lasting impression on me.  Until we meet again, rest easy buddy.  

Dear Brindle Family...    I´m really sorry about your loss... 
My name is Ricardo Vega and I got to know Jim from John Deere, He took very good care of our Dealer Account for a long time in Mexico.   Jim was a great partner to work with and I always considered him a friend.  It hurt to see him leave the Deere organization.  
I pray for a quick resignation for all the family members  and celebrate his life with all the good memories he left.
Rest in Peace Jim.    By the memories I read about you, I m pretty sure you could say:  Mission Accomplished!    
 

I worked with Jim at Deere. He approached his work with passion and was always willing to get engaged or lend a hand when needed. Our work conversations would then fade to our kids, their activities, school and often about hockey. Jim would light up whenever he talked about his family.  My deepest sympathies.
