Diana Walker

Diana Rae Walker, 63, of Davenport passed away at home on Tuesday, June 29, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M., Saturday, July 3, 2010 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.

Diana was born October 21, 1946 in Keokuk County, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer Ray and Emma Mae (Ingle) Wallerich and graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1965. She was employed by the Deere-Harvester Works in Moline for thirty years, retiring in 2004.

She enjoyed gardening, her pets, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a beloved grandma.

Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law John Walker of Davenport and Brad and Andrea Walker of Mount Vernon, Iowa; grandchildren Madison and Austin; and brothers: Elmer “Biff” (Helen)Wallerich, Pulaski, IA; Kerry “Butch” (Linda) Wallerich, Rock Island, and David Wallerich, Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Susan Wallerich and Sandra Mumm; and brothers, Gary and Bert Wallerich.

Mom, we will always love and cherish you. You were always there for us and your family’s heart and soul. You will be forever in our hearts, and live on as the best part of us.
