Dawn Owens, 66, of LeClaire, passed away Tuesday, February 20th at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House with her loving family by her side. Memorials in Dawn’s name may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
Dawn was born in 1951, to Dorothy and Cyrus Labe in Reading, Pennsylvania. She graduated from ELCO High School in 1968. On August 8, 1970, she was united in marriage to James Owens. Dawn worked at the Rock Island Arsenal as a project manager for the M-1 tanks. In her free time, Dawn loved to work on cross stitch and made many beautiful pieces of art for friends and family.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jim; their two sons Chris (Katrina) and James (Jamie) Owens; five grandchildren: Devon, Brittney, Amber, Crystal, and Franchesca; her sister Jeannie Trimble; niece: Jessica Trimble; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
