David Allen Mumm

David A. Mumm, 78, of Davenport, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2023 at Genesis East Medical Center. Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services. David was born on October 30, 1944 to Allen and Elna (Stoltenberg) Mumm. He attended Davenport Central High School and Graduated from Bettendorf High School. David attended Davenport Barber College where he went on to become an instructor. He retired from Litton Instruments, a manufacturer of air separation systems for the military and commercial aircrafts.

David enjoyed helping on his family’s farm. He enjoyed collecting and working on antique cars. He enjoyed cheering on his grandson at the Assumption High School Football games. David also worked into his weekly schedule, several meals at Harlan’s Restaurant.

Survivors include his children, Brian Mumm of Davenport, IA and Amy (Louis) Nixon of Surprise, AZ; grandchildren, Zach Mumm and Bryan Mertz; great grandchildren, Zayne, Zoey, Luna and Sterling; Step-siblings, Duane, Doug and Debbie.
