Carolyn L Woods

Carolyn Lanelle Woods, 88, of East Moline passed away Monday, June 19, 2017 at Rosewood Care Center. Funeral services will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church 4107 21st Avenue, Moline, Il on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 10 A.M. with visitation one hour prior to service. Carolyn was born on September 26, 1928 in Decatur, IL a daughter of Cecil and Dorothy Roberts. She married Virgil Woods on September 26, 1948, they later divorced.

She held a very strong belief in Christ our Lord and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, where she volunteered. She also volunteered at Illini Hospital. She retired from Saint Francis Hospital in Peoria, IL.

Carolyn loved crafting and knitting. She also enjoyed spending time with her best friend Virginia.

Those left to honor her memory include: Vernon (Sandy) Woods, Steve (Sandi) Woods, Rick (Linda) Woods, Mike (Lois) Woods, Jim (Deb) Woods, Carolyn Beal (Matthew) and Betty Russell; brother, John Edward Roberts, two nephews, eighteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, William “Billy” Woods, her sister, Roberta Pearson, parents and granddaughter, Katie Woods.
