Carlyle M. Rosen

A memorial service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Christ’s Family Church in Davenport with inurnment to be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 pm until the service, at the church. Carlyle was born March 5, 1921, the son of Charles W. and Mary Louise (Scheldt) Rosen in Woodlawn, PA. He graduated from Sparrows Point High School in Sparrows Point, MD. He served in the Army Air Corps from December 1941 until October 1945. He worked for the US government retiring after 37 years of service.

Carlyle enjoyed music and attended Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore.

He was a life member of Masonic Blue Lodge, Patapsco #183 AF & AM in Dundalk, MD and a member of Christ’s Family RCA Church in Davenport.

Carlyle was united in marriage to his wife of 64 years Lois P. Bittner on July 17, 1948 in Baltimore. They have one loving son, Mark A. Rosen, San Diego, CA; numerous nieces and nephews; and a brother, John W. Rosen, Baltimore, MD.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an older brother, Joseph.
