Barbara Jean West

Barbara Jean West, 73, of Canton, MO, formerly of Davenport, died Friday, August 5, 2011 at the Lewis County Nursing Home in Canton. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 11:30 am at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 pm at the mortuary. Barbara was born January 20, 1938 in Davenport, the daughter of Raymond and Phyllis (Pewe) Fick. She was united in marriage to Neil West on June 14, 1969 in Eldridge, IA. Barbara loved to sew and the outdoors.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Neil, Canton, MO; son, Dan (Melissa) Lueth, Rochelle, IL; daughter, Shelly (Mike) Downing, Muscatine, IA; grandchildren: Jennifer (Cory) Weber, Jessica Lueth, Justin (Jenna) Lueth, Jordan Lueth, Blake Lueth, Lindsay Downing and Katie Downing; great grandchildren: Madison and Kalie Weber and Peyton Downing; brother, Oscar and sisters: Nancy, Carol, Karen and Georgia. Her parents, a brother, Jerry and a sister, Nelda preceded her in death.
