Barbara Marcine Hopkins, 93, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 at St. Mary’s Rehabilitation Center in Davenport. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 2, 2015 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be for one hour prior at the mortuary. Barbara was born on June 30, 1922 in Camanche, IA, the daughter of Lester C. “Red” and Dorothy B. (Brown) McKenrick. She married Harold C. “Hoppy” Hopkins. He preceded her in death in October, 1991.
Barbara was the bar manager for many years at the Davenport Club. She had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. She enjoyed playing Bingo.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Cindy McKenrick, Eldridge; siblings, Marvin and Wayne of California, and Gerald, of Bettendorf; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Don; siblings, Bill, Gloria “Toots” and Don; and beloved dog, Pepper.
