Wanda Goodyer

102, Passed peacefully at Arborstone Enhanced Care Facility. April 11, 2023.

Wanda was born May 17, 1920. A daughter of the late Herold F. Henry and Margaret (Tossell) of Halifax.

As a child Wanda spent time on Sable Island with visits to Boston during the summer months.

In her teens she enjoyed dances at the St. Mary's Boat Club.

As a military wife she was honored to have been stationed all over Canada, but chose to return to her roots in Nova Scotia.

After spending time in Guysborough County she settled in North End Dartmouth to continue raising her family, while also enjoying her two poodles Nikki and Suzette.

Wanda is predeceased by her brother Harold, sisters Patricia and Vivian, husband Arthur Frederick Munro Goodyer, son Arthur Harold and daughter Lynne Alexander.

She is survived by daughters Noreen Banks Halifax, Margaret Shay (Terry Shay) Beamsville, Ont., Susan Goodyer (David Hendsbee) Westphal, William Goodyer (Joanne Wallace) Yarmouth, Leslie Fleet Regina, SK. and Dena Goodyer Kitchener.

Wanda was fortunate to have 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday April 16, 1pm-4pm at A.L Mattatall’s Funeral Home, 217 Portland St, Dartmouth where Funeral Service will also be held Monday April 17, at 11am (with livestream available for those who prefer to join that way https://fweb.tv/99811) and reception to follow.
