She was born in Clark's Harbour, Nova Scotia. Virginia and Dwight raised their family of five children in Fletchers Lake , Nova Scotia. They spent her senior years in Clayton Park, before moving back to Fletchers Lake.
Virginia is survived by her loving husband Dwight Douglas Hambly, " I miss miss you forever, until we meet again". Virginia will be missed by her five children Melinda Hambly( Trevor), Michael Hambly, Monica Hambly( John), Maria Burgess( Gregory),and Malana Hambly-Wile ( Jason). Virginia adored her grandchildren Christopher, Dustin, Adrien, Ashton, Kiana, Alec ,Rianne ,Mahala, Mikel, Emily , Natasha and soon to come great-grandchildren Adeline and Emilia. Virginia is also survived by her siblings Paul, George, Chris, Athena ,several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Mildred and Evangelos( Billy) Amarandos ,brother Efstathios and nephew Jeffrey.
Virginia was well known in the community for her many talents. She provided hair cuts and perms to much of the neighborhood. She was an accomplished seamstress bringing well fitted gowns to many women in the community , New York Dress Shop, and Chez Francois Bridal Salon. She also created one of a kind , gorgeous dresses and costumes for her daughters and grandchildren. Virginia was heavily involved in the Girl Guide Movement for many years. She loved painting, drawing, and spending time with her family.
Virginia and husband Dwight also fostered many children through challenging moments in their lives.
Virginia will be remembered fondly for her generous spirit, humorous outlook and loving nature.

Celebration of life will be held on September 27 , 2024 at 7pm , 53 Beech Hill Dr., Fall River.
