Vernon Lester Anderson

Anderson, Vernon Lester – 72 of Gaetz Brook, Passed away peacefully March 30 at Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital, Musquodoboit, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Queens County, he was the son of the late Clarence Lester and Annie (Conrad) Anderson. Vernon was educated in the Dartmouth School system. He later trained in Mechanical drafting and as a Health Care professional. He spent most of his career working as a heath care professional first at the Nova Scotia Hospital and later at Northwood Care Inc. He was an avid golfer, outdoorsman, guitar player. He was a writer and teller of fine stories. Vernon is survived by his wife Lillian Meisnor, son James (Heather) Vernon, daughter Margaret Lynn and step daughter Debbie Sanford. Proud grandfather of Thea (Mark), Malcolm, Molly, Olivia, Rebecca, great-grandson Riley and step grandchildren Alison and Stephen. Survived by his sister Elsie Hill, brothers Ernst (Kay) Anderson, Gary (Donna) Anderson. He is predeceased by Brothers Victor and Raymond. A Memorial service to be held at A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth, NS . Saturday April 7 at 2:00 pm Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
