Shirley Eileen Hatcher

HATCHER, Shirley Eileen - 86, Dartmouth, passed away December 3, 2012, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Upper North River, Colchester County, she was the daughter of the late Dimock and Jean (MacKenzie) McNutt.

The greatest joys in her life were her family, Sunday Dinners, Summers in the trailer at Lake Charlotte and later at the cottage in Seafoam. Every grandchild and great grandchild was a source of wonder and joy to her.

She is survived by her sons, Gregory (Christine), Stephen, daughter, Wendy (Bill Thibault), Grandchildren, Stephen (Jennifer), Rodney (Gillian), Chad, Billy, Hillary, Kaleigh (Pravin), Travis (Karen) and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Noah, Nolan, Penelope, Sadie, Priya and Gavin, brother, Huntley, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James Charles, sister, Dorothy Shearer, three brothers, Elwood, Walter and Pressley.

Visitation Wednesday, December 5th, from 7 - 9 PM in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland St., Dartmouth. Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, December 6th in Stairs Memorial United Church, Hester St., Dartmouth, with reception to follow in the Church Hall. Internment will follow in Blackmore Memorial Cemetery, Upper North River at 2:30 PM. Family flowers only be request. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to a charity of your choice.
