He was the son of Norman and Florence Morash. He grew up and worked on the family farm located at the end of Gaston Rd, Dartmouth, until he started his consistent battle against continual health battles that he battled for over half his adult life. Being exposed early to music he developed a passion for music that helped him through the hard times and a love to entertain people with his gift at a very young age. He would play for anyone that asked, as long as they were going to listen. He enjoyed time out playing for the Dartmouth Fiddlers, entertaining those that couldn't get out to all the local locations that he so loved to entertain at. All he needed was a time and place and he would be there. Religion was also important throughout his life. He started Sunday school when the Woodlawn United Church was in the old white church, being active with the church throughout his life. Participating in events as a youngster, to marriage, to supporting his wife(UCW) when she required more hands to get the job done. All for the purpose of helping others though the working of the church, a lesson we heard often.
He is survived by his sister Geraldine Wambolt, sister in-laws Myrna and Edith Morash. He was predeceased by his wife Evelyn Morash (Kent), brothers Malcomb, Carl, Weldon and sister Helen Kent. Brother in-laws Llyod Kent, Ray Wambolt and sister-in-law Karen Morash(Johnson).
His children are; Gregory (Stacy Corbett) of Brentwood, Micheal (Kim Geddes) of Dartmouth, Stephen of Lawerencetown and Scott (Sherry MacNeil) of Dartmouth. Grand children include; Kimberlyn Lowenberg in Saskatchewan, Jeffery Morash of Dartmouth and Samantha Morash-King of Lawrencetown
