Edward Jamie Howe

Age 73, of Dartmouth, passed away June 8, 2019 in the QEII, HI Site. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Garfield and Mary Howe. He was an avid hockey fan and one of the original Dartmouth Rink Rats. He coached Dartmouth minor hockey and volunteered at Grey Arena for many years. He was a passionate “all around” sports fan – Boston anything! Bruins, Sox, Patriots. He also enjoyed travelling and cruises with his wife and in later years spending weekends at Whispering Winds Campground with his wife and friends. He was a driver for Bob’s Taxi for over 40 years. Jamie is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Paulette” Howe (nee Lowe); sons, Dwayne Howe and Chris (Dee) Lowe; daughters, Karen (Tim) Myles and Kathy (Rusty) Bisonette; sister, Marion Reid; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a niece and nephew. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 8th at 11am in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
