IVANY (Walker), Audrey Lily Pearl - Age 89 of Dartmouth passed away on January 31, 2023, in Melville Lodge Nursing Home. Born and raised in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late George & Marie Walker. She is survived by daughter, Jeannette Moore; Sons, Chris (Diane) & Bruce (Jean) Ivany; granddaughter, Penny Moore & grandsons, Mark & Steven (Marcie) Ivany; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Kean, Chelsea, Kaylee, Owen & Aunna; great-great- grandchildren, Kean, Audrey (her namesake), Maddison, Benjamin & newest addition, Nova. Audrey is also survived by her brother in-law, Vic Ivany, his wife & Audrey’s best friend, Juanita Ivany. Audrey is predeceased by her adoring husband, William (Bill) Ivany, brothers, Arthur(Sylvia), Earl (Barb) and Bruce (Lynn) Walker; sisters, Marjorie and Alice. Audrey’s passion was her family. She most enjoyed family dinners with her loved ones. Audrey was a steadfast worker. Her husband, Bill often jested to the men he worked with that they could not hold a candle to her workwise. These same men were surprised when they met her because of her small stature. Her resolve and work ethic were beyond measure. Gardening, hunting, and spending time with her husband at their camp in Upper Musquodoboit was how she enjoyed most of her weekends. Her large gardens yielded more food than her family could use, so she shared with extended family, friends, and local foodbanks. Both Audrey and Bill were dedicated parishioners at the North Brook Bible Chapel and their faith carried them through the best and worst of times. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Wednesday, February 8, with a chapel service at 11am on Thursday, February 9, followed by a reception at A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland St, Dartmouth, NS. Burial in Mount Hermon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local food bank.
