Pastor William “Bill” Lane Stack, surrounded by family, passed from this life on February 28, 2022, after a long courageous battle from COVID-19. He is assuredly in the arms of his blessed Savior. He will be missed dearly by his loving wife of 47 years, Carol (Perry) Stack, his daughter Danielle Wagonblott and her husband Richard of Middletown, RI, his son William Stack Jr. and his wife Kendra of Westport, MA, and five beautiful grandchildren that he loved dearly; Dayton Stack, Abigail & Richard Wagonblott Jr, and Kingston & Liana Bigos. He was the loving son of the late Edward and Margaret (Lane) Stack, and the beloved brother of Daniel P. Stack and his wife Imogene, Michael E. Stack, and Thomas E. Stack and his wife Christine. William was the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews, and even some great nieces and nephews.
Bill attended Charlestown High School, where he developed a love for swimming. He life guarded at Buzzard Bay Beach during the summer months, and as God intended, he met his beautiful wife Carol on a rainy day. Pastor Bill accepted Jesus as Savior in July 1973 after attending the Teen Bible Fellowship at Mullen Hill Bible Church. He enlisted into the United States Air Force in August 1973, and married the love of his life on July 4, 1974.
Pastor Bill loved spending time with his family, and checked in with his children and grandchildren multiple times a day. He served his Lord and Savior by helping others in any way he could. If you needed help you could count of Pastor Bill Stack. In every aspect of Pastor Bill life, he found a way to share the word of God up until his last breath. He will be remembered as the kindest, most generous, and honest man.
His family will receive family and friends on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 10:00AM-11:00AM with a service of words of remembrance and celebration of Bill's beautiful life will follow from 11:00AM-12:00PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth, Massachusetts 02748.
