Ruth was born in Danbury, daughter of the late Frank and Clara Kaeser. She was a graduate of Danbury High School, class of 1946 and had worked for ten years in the circulation department of the News Times. Ruth was a member and Deacon Emeritus of the Congregational Church of New Fairfield. She had a great love for the outdoors, traveled throughout the United States with her late husband, enjoyed daily walks, hiking and bird watching. Her life revolved around her loving family and she made sure that she attended all of her grandchildren’s life events.
She is survived by her daughters: Barbara Coelho and husband Steven, Leesa Farina and husband Anthony and Victoria Cosentino, all of New Fairfield, her beloved grandchildren: Matthew, Melissa and Tohni Farina and Christopher Philo, Cassandra, Morghan and Shane Cosentino, as well as her brother J. William Kaeser of New Fairfield, her sisters: Janet Pesente of Danbury, Evelyn Joudy of New Fairfield and Jeanne Washburn of Fort Collins, CO, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Philo, she was predeceased by her sister Christine Kaeser and brother Frank Kaeser.
Funeral services will be held at the Congregational Church of New Fairfield, on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Saturday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
