He leaves behind his beloved wife Nancy Laigner, his sister Jean Bowen, two children, Sara (Fogelberg) Pepper and Ryan Fogelberg, stepson Steven Laigner, their spouses and adored granddaughter Chloe. His niece Kristin Bowen, nephew Jason Bowen and many cousins appreciated his love and great sense of humor. His college buddies, colleagues and local friends were steadfast in their friendships over the years.
Rob’s love of rock n’ roll was well known. As an avid guitarist he played in bands he and friends established and spent years playing local gigs. He was passionate about music and loved sharing in that with family and friends.
Rob was a volunteer for many years with the National Kidney Foundation of CT. He attended 8 Transplant Games as Team Captain. He was an avid volleyball player, participated in the 5K and was remembered for his encouragement and support of other transplant recipients in the games.
A graduate of Concordia College, Bronxville, NY, he spent the majority of his professional career at Pitney Bowes, advancing to the position of Commodity Manager for Electromechanical Commodities.
A lover of sports and proficient golfer, in recent years he and his beloved dog Bella hiked the hills and woods in Brookfield for miles each and every day.

The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury on Thursday, December 29th from 3:00 – 6:00pm, with a brief service and words of remembrance to take place at 5:30pm.
