Richard J. Rosini

Richard was born Yonkers, New York to Anna Marie Rosini on September 6, 1968. He went to school in New Fairfield. He married Shirley Zawadka on August 2, 2008 in Danbury. Richard graduated from New Fairfield High School and worked as a Correction Officer at FCI Danbury for 18 years. He was a veteran of Iraqi War and served in the U.S. Army 94th Military Police Company. He enjoyed going to dog parks, walking our dogs Hunter and Josie, playing poker and being a mentor.

Richard is preceded in death by his mother Anna Marie Rosini and his sister Denise Rosini.

Richard is survived by his wife Shirley Rosini and many uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at VFW Post 149, 5 Byron Street, Danbury from 5 - 9 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to local animal shelters. The family of Richard Rosini wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Castle Point VA in New York, St. Luke's and Montefiore Hospital in New York and Danbury Hospital.
