Raymond Anthony Barry, 62, of New Milford, CT, passed away after a year-long battle with ALS surrounded by family early on Sunday morning, September 8, 2019. Ray was born in Danbury, CT on June 20, 1957 to the late S. Ray and Gloria (Albano) Barry, and was the husband of Debra Gail (Garner) Barry.
Ray loved long rides on his Harley and had been a friend of Bill W. for over 28 years. He never hesitated to help a friend or family member in need, and above all, loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Ray was predeceased by his twin brother, Joseph James Barry.
Survivors include his siblings and children: sister Cynthia Hoefer and her husband, Tom, of New Milford; brothers Robert Barry and Kevin Barry, both of Las Vegas, NV; son Joseph James Barry and his wife, Jodi Rachael, of Ashland, MA; daughter Trista Lee Barry Reilly and her fiancée Christopher Arnold, of Danbury. Four grandchildren also survive, Lilybella Grace Reilly, Chloe Grace Reilly, Winter Jolie Barry, and Wilder “Wild” Ray Barry, due 10/29/2019.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at St. Francis Xavier Church, Chestnut Land Road, New Milford. Friends will be received from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2019 at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
