Natalie T. Hensley, 64, of Danbury, CT passed away peacefully on Friday night surrounded by her family after being a breast cancer survivor for the past 17 years. She was the wife of Donald R. Hensley, Sr. Born in Helena, Montana, she was a daughter of the late James and Margaret Guiliano Montalbano. Natalie grew up in Yonkers, NY and was a 1965 graduate of Maria Regina High School in Hartsdale, NY. An administrative assistant with First Brands, she later joined Honeywell Corp., retiring in 2011. A Danbury resident since 1981, she was previously a resident of East Norriton, PA. Natalie was a member of St. Gregory the Great parish in Danbury.
Natalie will always be remembered as a “Super Mom” who loved to cook, celebrate the holidays with her family, and as an incredible baker and horticulturist. Besides her parents, Natalie was predeceased by her brother, Michael Montalbano. In addition to her husband of 38 years, she is survived by her sons: Donald R. Hensley, Jr. and his wife, Nicole, of Port Chester, NY and Michael J. Hensley of El Centro, CA. Her brothers: Joseph Montalbano and his wife, Rose Ann, of Fishkill, NY and John Montalbano and his wife, Brit, of San Diego, CA. Her sister-in-law, Maggie Montalbano of Yonkers, NY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30am at St. Gregory the Great Church, Danbury. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Croton Falls, NY at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
