Marjorie was born in Corona, NY, a daughter of the late Margaret and Joseph Faso. She attended Queen of the Rosary Academy in Amityville, NY and received her nursing degree from Brooklyn Hospital in 1950. She would go on to devote over 50 years of her life to nursing.
Her family was the center of her world, growing up as one of nine children and having nine of her own. There was always an occasion for a family gathering of which she was the center. Her love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren was tremendously abundant.
One granddaughter said it best –her hands told a story. Her hands made hundreds of pieces of pottery, sewed countless quilts, cooked more family meals than can be counted and placed thousands of scrabble board pieces, winning nearly every game she played.
Marjorie was predeceased by two of her beloved children: Christine M. Heim and Peter A. Heim; and husband, Robert C. Heim. She also joins her 4 sisters and 4 brothers.
She is survived by her daughters: Ellen P. McKeon, Janet E. Heim, Marjorie H. Crowe (John), Tracy L. Heim, Cindy Nadler; and sons: Robert H. Heim (Gretchen) and Theodore Heim (Lynn Kubisek). Her legacy will also be carried on by her 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Burial will private.
Memorial contributions in Marjorie’s name may be made to the Regional Hospice, 30 Milestone Rd., Danbury, CT 06810.
