She was born in New York City on Oct. 11, 1931, a daughter of the late Harry and Mae Grady Cranley. Margaret was a longtime administrative assistant with A & P Stores in the Bronx. A resident of Brookfield for the past 15 years, she was previously of Pelham Bay and Clason Point in the Bronx. She was a former communicant at Holy Cross Parish in the Bronx. Margaret enjoyed traveling, especially to Ireland, which she visited numerous times. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother as she enjoyed nothing more than to spend time with her family.
Survivors include two sons: Peter and his wife, Mary, of Garden City, LI and John J. Jr. and his wife, Jean, of New Milford. One daughter: Kathryn Lutz of New Milford. Nine grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren also survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 am at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Queens, NY.
