Linda Ann DaSilva, 65, of New Fairfield, CT, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, November 5, 2022. She is survived by her husband, Paul, and children, Paul and Michael. We can’t forget her precious dog, Lana, who she cared for like a child after her children left home.
Linda has left an indelible mark in the lives of her family who will cherish her forever. She was a dedicated and loving wife of 28 years to her husband, and an extraordinarily devoted mom to her two boys. She did everything she could for her husband and children and her departure has left a significant void in their lives.
Linda was born in the Bronx, N.Y., to the late Barbara and Thomas Villanova. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Yonkers, before attending Fordham University in the Bronx, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She grew up in the New York City area and Westchester County, where she met her husband, before moving to Connecticut after her son Michael was born. Linda was incredibly smart, and was gifted at comforting people and empathizing with anyone who reached out to her for help. She wanted to be a psychologist when she was young, but instead elected to stay at home with her boys and raise them. In recent years, she worked part time at a local restaurant, Taormina, where she will be deeply missed by her customers.
Linda loved to support her favorite sports teams, the Giants and Mets, with her husband. Having not traveled as much as she would have liked, she and Paul had planned several upcoming trips together. Just this past summer, the family visited Italy, the country of her ancestry. She loved taking care of Lana, taking her for daily walks around the pond, and cooking her breakfast and dinner.
Linda had the best heart in the world; she was the kindest and sweetest person. She left us much too young, and her memory will forever be with us.
The family will receive friends at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT, on Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. A prayer service will take place at 6:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 11th at 11a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Church in New Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital.
