John was born in Muskegon, MI on April 20, 1951 to predeceased parents John and Barbara (Hobby) Ferry. He graduated from Bethel High School where he met his late wife Josephine (Pagan) Ferry. They were married for 45 years. John worked at Duracell in Bethel CT for 30+ years.
John loved to go to the beach, especially in Martha’s Vineyard. John was very artistic and loved to write poetry. He loved music especially the Beatles and music from “his generation”. Everyone who met him would state how kind and loving he was. After his wife died, John rescued a dog named Kia, whom he adored and he always said “she rescued him”.
He is survived by his daughters Andrea (David) Keane and Erica (Cesar) Urrutia, also his sister Kathy (Rick) Retter. He was predeceased by his brother Phillip Ferry. He has 3 grandchildren who loved their Pop Pop dearly, Cesar, Alexander and Caleb. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and extended family members.
A graveside service will be on Wednesday August 31, 2022 at 1 pm at St. Peter Cemetery Danbury, Section 16.
