Emily graduated from Danbury High School, class of 1966. Emily managed the deli at Putnam Lake Market for over 40 years. Her greatest joy was her family and friends. Emily always had a bright smile and was always giving.
Emily is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Lawrence Valente; her daughter and son-in-law Joseph and Gina Coppola and grandchildren Bryan, Jane, and Sofia Coppola; her son Lawrence Louis Valente and fiance Jeanine Schirmer and granddaughter Carly Valente; her sisters Charlene and husband Ken Barney and Linda and husband Bob Scribner, and sister-in-law Hilda Parks.
Emily is preceded in death by her brothers John Parks, Donald Parks, and William Parks.
Visitation for Emily will be held Thursday, October 20, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St, Danbury, CT.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 21 Brush Hill Rd., New Fairfield, CT.
Burial will follow at Wooster Cemetery, Danbury, CT.
