Dan was born in Port Chester to Joseph J. Santoro and Alice Coppola Santoro on August 6, 1937. He went to school in Port Chester and attended Sacred Heart University. He married Veronica Ann Przypek, deceased, on May 11, 1963, in Stamford, and renewed their vows in March 2005 in Spring Hill. Dan worked in customer service at Pitney Bowes in their postage machines division for 40 years. Dan was a veteran having been a member of the Air National Guard for 6 years during the Vietnam War. He was Commander of the all-girls Silhouettes Drum and Bugle Corp. for many years, a role he greatly loved. Dan also served as an Usher for Saint Francis Xavier Cabrini Roman Catholic Church in Spring Hill. Following in his father’s footsteps, he was a lover of golf, and after “hanging up” his clubs, endeavored to craft custom-made clubs for friends. Dan loved his wife and family most of all. He enjoyed photography, watches, and rivaling Tim-the tool man-Taylor for the most power tools in his garage workshop. Throughout his life, Dan had various side business with family, including painting and landscaping.
Dan is preceded in death by son, Jason Anthony (1990) his beloved wife Ronnie (2017), his parents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dan is survived by his 5 grandchildren – Joseph Jason Santoro Ceraolo, Dylan Hunter Kohr, Christian Jason Santoro, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Santoro and Arabella Jason Santoro, whom he loved so very much, his daughters Gina M. Kohr (Joseph Manginelli, Sr.) and Michelle L. Santoro (Brian), his son and daughter-in-law Scott V. Santoro and Linda Santoro, his cousin Rosemarie Sniadack, numerous friends and other cousins.
The family of Dan wishes to extend its sincere thanks to wonderful family friends, the home health care workers and nurses who helped us and our dad these last 9 months.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Friday December 6th at Saint Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield.
Burial in Queen of Peace Cemetery, Stamford will be private.
