Tony was born March 8, 1974 in Danbury, son of Herminio and Connie (Barrigas) Martins of Danbury. He was a graduate of Danbury High School. Tony was employed as an electrician by Black Box Network Service and a member of IBEW Local 488 Union. He was an avid New York Giants and Mets Fan, loved all things Star Wars, was an active recreational volleyball and softball player, and adored his dog, Cosmo.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his beloved twins, Michaela Ann and Anthony Andrew. Though their time was cut way too short with him, a lifetime of memories were made and will be cherished forever.
He is also survived by his brother, Victor Martins and wife Melissa of New Milford and brother, Paulo Martins and wife, Belén of Danbury, his mother-in-law, Marian Liebenhaut, father-in-law, Barry Mulhall and wife, Elsie, father-in-law, Michael Liebenhaut and wife, Wendy, his brother-in- laws, Daniel Sette, Andrew Leibenhaut, and Devin Mulhall, his godparents, Carlos and Sharon Barrigas and loved by an abundance of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is predeceased by maternal grandparents, Antonio and Ana Barrigas and cousin, Carlos Barrigas, Jr., and paternal grandparents, Justino and Laurinda Martins. Everyone who knew him loved and respected him.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends may contribute to a trust fund for Michaela and Anthony care of Union Savings Bank, 226 Main Street in Danbury. Checks to be made to Kristen Martins - Trustee with the memo: Michaela and Anthony Trust.
A graveside service will take place at 11:00am on Tuesday May 12th in Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are welcome, but are requested to respect social distancing and cemetery policy by remaining in their vehicles.
