Anthony Cook (Tony) of Danbury, died at home on June 22, 2021, surrounded by the comfort of family. He was the husband of Betty (Bromley) Cook for 41 years and the son of the late Anthony and Elizabeth (Podurgie) Cook.
Tony served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War where he received the Purple Heart. He was last employed at Vanderbilt Chemical.
Tony was predeceased by three brothers, Dickie Cook, Joey Cook, Abby Cook and three sisters Dora Batey, Gloria Roman and Elizabeth Hoelck.
Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Edelmann and Jo, Janet Meyer and Randy, Catherine Hunt and Bob and son T. J. Anthony Cook and Marlene.
He was an avid golfer (achieved a "hole in one") and bowler.
Tony has four grandsons, three granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will occur Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Rd., Danbury, CT 06811.
