SHE WAS BORN THE YOUNGEST OF EIGHT CHILDREN TO MICHAEL AND KATHERINE ROCHFORD ON MARCH 13, 1924 IN THE PARK SLOPE SECTION OF BROOKLYN, NEW YORK. SHE WAS 87 YEARS OLD. ANNE (KNOWN TO MANY AS NANCY) HAD 4 BROTHERS (JAMES, JOHN, FRANK AND THOMAS) AND 3 SISTERS (RITA, MARY AND LORETTA) ALL WHOM PREDECEASED HER.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER HUSBAND OF 62 YEARS, HOWARD JAMES HAGAN WHO ALSO RESIDES AT GLEN HILL. THEY MET WHEN SHE WAS 13 YEARS OLD AND MOVED TO NEW FAIRFIELD IN 1971 WHERE THEY RESIDED BEFORE MOVING TO DANBURY IN 1997.
ANNE IS SURVIVED BY HER FOUR CHILDREN, LT.COL. HOWARD J. HAGAN (US ARMY RET) & HIS WIFE DIANE, MAUREEN ARCHER & HER HUSBAND MIKE, EILEEN RIXMANN AND TIMOTHY G.HAGAN. SHE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY HER SIX GRANDCHILDREN, ELLEN BOWERMAN (COREY), CAPTAIN BRENDAN HAGAN US ARMY, TIMOTHY ARCHER (MARIE), TERENCE ARCHER (BETH), EMMA RIXMANN AND WILLIAM RIXMANN. ANNE IS ALSO GREAT GRANDMOTHER TO ALEXIS BOWERMAN AND BRIDGET ARCHER.
SHE WAS A DEVOTED MEMBER OF ST. EDWARD THE CONFESSOR ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH WHERE SHE WAS VERY ACTIVE IN THE LADIES GUILD AND ALSO WORK PART TIME AT THE NEW FAIRFIELD TOWN HALL.
A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL WILL BE CELEBRATED AT ST. EDWARD THE CONFESSOR CHURCH, NEW FAIRFIELD ON THURSDAY MAY 26TH AT 10:30AM. BURIAL WILL BE IN THE MOUNTAINVIEW CEMETERY, NEW FAIRFIELD.
THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS AT THE GREEN FUNERAL HOME 57 MAIN STREET DANBURY ON WEDNESDAY MAY 25TH FROM 2 TO 4PM AND 6 TO 9PM.
