Born in Peckville, PA on June 12, 1914, she was a daughter of the late John and Veronica Drutarovski Mihalik. Mrs. Stella was a former seamstress with the New England Shirt Co. in Danbury and most recently in the shipping department of Heli-Coil until her retirement. Mrs. Stella was a member of the Mill Plain Independent Hose Co 12 Woman’s Auxiliary, an avid bowler, gardener and fervent Met’s fan. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Danbury for over 60 years.
Survivors include two children: Thomas J. Stella of Danbury and Barbara Magersupp of Hiram, OH. 6 grandchildren: John Stella of Gridley, IL, JoAnn Larnerd of Sandy Hook, CT, Jeffrey Stella of Southbury, CT, Kathy LeClair of Danbury, CT, Andy Magersupp and Beth Magersupp, both of Hiram, OH. 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren also survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Feb. 27th at 10am at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2pm – 5pm at The Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
