Troy Kane was born in Stow, Ohio on July 14, 1969 and passed away March 2, 2019. He graduated from North Mesquite High School and studied Juvenile Corrections/Criminal Justice at the University of North Texas.
Troy is preceded in death by his stepfather Dan Chalmers Jr.; brother Joey Kane; grandparents Frank and Annie Walsh of Placentia, Newfoundland; and grandparents Joe and Juanita Kane of Kent, Ohio.
Troy is survived by his mother Kathy Chalmers of Dallas, Texas, his father Joe Kane Jr. of Chula Vista, California; son Brice Kane; stepsister Sheri Knight of Austin, Texas; and numerous family and friends in the United States and Canada.
Troy was an avid cycler and was a lover of life and being outdoors. He lived life to the fullest and lived it his way, with no regrets. He never met a stranger. He had a multitude of friends from all walks of life, including friends from elementary school. He was loved by everyone who met him.
All will mourn the loss of a life cut much too short for such a wonderful and intelligent man.
A visitation with family for Troy will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. followed with A Celebration of Life will from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. and then Fellowship with Catered Reception occurring from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home 8011 Frankford Road Dallas, Texas 75252.
