Travis Radie Perry, 32, died peacefully on January 26th, 2023, at St. David’s Hospital in Austin, TX. He was comforted by his immediate family at his bedside when he passed. Travis was born on December 13th, 1990, the son of Nancy and Radie Perry. Travis graduated from Lutheran High School in Dallas, TX. He subsequently attended Savannah College of Art and Design.
As all who knew him are aware he was fiercely independent. If you were stranded on a desert island, he was the person you would want there to help you figure out how to survive and escape. He had a beautiful spirit for exploring new things and activities that made him feel alive, such as skateboarding, mountain biking, trail building and camping.
Our Travis was a brilliant young man. He was creative, artistic, and most of all curious. He was admired by all for his expected and unexpected talents. He had an open heart for those that didn’t necessarily fit in with society. You could come from any background and he would find a way to connect with you. Travis was a dutiful employee at Nicholson Hardie for many years where he continued to cultivate his knowledge and love of the outdoors and all things botanical.
He is so loved and will be missed by family and friends. Travis is survived by his twin sister, Caroline, her husband, Jon Reavey, and his parents Nancy and Radie Perry.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 am on Saturday, February 4th, 2023, at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home.
