He was 69 years old. Born in Natchitoches, Louisiana to Eileen and Norman Gamso, he attended McGill-Toolen Catholic High School. He was a member of the golf team and was also president of his senior class. He graduated from the University of Alabama, where he received his B.S. in Finance as well as his M.B.A. While at Alabama Tim was president of both his social fraternity, Kappa Signa, and the honorary business fraternity, Beta Gamma Sigma.
His finance career started in Atlanta. He eventually moved to Dallas, where he worked at First Boston and met his future bride, Susan Talbert, whose company was a client. After months of daily phone conversations between client and broker, Susan and Tim finally met face to face and the rest is history. They married on May 9, 1987.
Tim loved the circle of golf where he met many of his lifelong friends. He was the Dallas Athletic Club champion 5 times and Dallas Country Club Champion 3 times, having been a member for over 25 years. Tim was also a member of the Dallas Salesmanship Club.He loved his class, “The Whiners” who voted him Mayor of their class. Later in his life he was a USGA Rules Official for both local and national amateur golf championships.
His parents, Eileen and Norman Gamso preceded him in death. Tim is survived by Susan, Winston, Amanda, Harrison and Kathleen; Brothers and Sisters Gary Gamso (Linda), Michael Gamso (Nancy), Suzanne Gamso Stanley (Earl) and Nancy Gamso Mills (Pete) along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Tim was a loving husband and hands on father. He instilled his passion for golf in his sons and he leaves in his darling daughter Kathleen, his love of life.
Tim will be remembered for his quick wit and as a generous friend and wonderful, faithful family man. Roll Tide.

A visitation to honor Tim will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75225. A Celebration of Life will take place the following day, Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., at Park Cities Baptist Church in the main sanctuary, 3933 Northwest Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75225.
