Susan Pierce Patterson, formerly of Okmulgee, Tulsa, Muskogee, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Dallas, Texas, passed away on August 9, 2011, in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Albert Edward Pierce of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and her son, David Edward Patterson of Rockford, Illinois.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Winfield Patterson, and her children, Steven Thomas Patterson and his wife, Elizabeth Simpson Patterson, of Kerrville, Texas, and Reynolds West Patterson and his wife, Teresa Arnold Patterson, of Plano, Texas. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Janice Hines Patterson Roberman and her husband Charles Harold Roberman, of Houston, Texas.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Thomas Winfield Patterson of Arlington, Virginia, Andrew Edward Patterson and his wife Meghan McAllister Patterson of Austin, Texas, Christopher Warren Patterson and his wife Sara Katheleen Kilroy of Boston, Massachusetts, and Claudia Gagen Patterson of Houston, Texas.
She is also survived by great-grandson, Cody Parker Patterson.
Susan Patterson was a member of a number of lineage societies including leadership roles in:
• National Society Daughter of the American Colonists, Honorary National President
• National Society Colonial Daughters of the Seventeenth Century, Inc., Honorary National President
• National Society Daughters of the Barons of Runnemede, Honorary President
• The Order of the Merovingian Dynasty, Founder Member
She was a graduate of Tulsa University, where she earned a Bachelors of Science in Medical Technology. She was also member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority.
Other organizations in which she was active included P. E. O. Sisterhood, Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge and the Clopton Family Association.
The Burial Service will be Thursday, August 11, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at 1:30 PM. The family will greet friends following a Memorial Service Saturday, August 13, at ten o’clock in the morning in the Auditorium at Presbyterian Village North, 8600 Skyline Drive, Dallas, Texas, 75243.
