She was born October 8, 1949, to Roy and Phyllis Cole Eagan in Oklahoma City, OK. She grew up in Bethany, OK, and graduated from Bethany High School in 1967, and Bethany Nazarene College (now SNU) in 1971.
She earned her M.Ed. at The University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond and her MHR at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. Her professional career began at Oklahoma Blood Institute. She moved to Texas and worked at Pitney Bowes, TXU, and Freddie Mac. She achieved awards during her career, including “21st Century Award for Outstanding Performance” at Pitney Bowes and “Premiere Achievement Award” at Freddie Mac. She did a lot of volunteer counseling at Southwind Mental Health Hospital, the YWCA, and the Prestonwood Pregnancy and Family Care Center.
During her college experience, Sue met Paul. They each married others, but re-met in 1998, and married on October 23, 1999, and were married for 24 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Phyllis, and her brother, Ron Eagan.
She is survived by her husband, Paul, her sons Chris (Yolanda) White of Dallas, TX, Craig (Carissa) White of Apex, NC and daughters Cherilyn (Lee) Garner of Wildwood, MO, Kristin Irwin (Johann Klemmack) of Virginia Beach, VA, and Tricia White of Plano, TX, grandchildren; Colin, Cass, Ruben, Jonathon, Carynne, Caeden, Cale, Cameron David, Grayson and Cameron Davis; and sisters, Jan Eagan Yarbrough, Sandra Eagan and brother, Donnie Cole along with Paul’s sisters, brother and sisters-in-law, cousins; Steve Cole, Myrla Cole and Pattie Litten and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, November 27 at 2 p.m. at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene in Bethany, Oklahoma.
