Lord and Savior, on June 17, 2016. A private family service will be held at St. Michaels and All
Angels Episcopal Church. No visitation is planned. Burial will be at Allegheny County Memorial
Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Shirley was born in Pittsburgh, and married Ralph Emerson Dougherty at the West Point Military
Academy. She was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in theater. She
volunteered for many years with the Junior League and Daughters of the King. Professionally,
she worked as a SSA hearing assistant and ran a condo care business in Juno Beach, Florida.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Lochry (husband Tom) of Dallas, son, Ralph
Dougherty of Pittsburgh, six grandchildren; Heather Sweeney (husband Michael), Gretchen
Vladimirov (husband Vlad), Travis, Sarah, David and, Matthew Dougherty, and five great
grandchildren; Sadie, Luke and Jonathan Sweeney and Joy and Alex Vladimirov.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Michaels and All Angels Episcopal
Church, 8011 Douglas Ave., Dallas, TX 75225. The family of Shirley Dougherty wishes to thank
