Shira was born on February 1, 1941 in Ladonia, Texas to Elizabeth and Schley Williams where she attended Wolfe City High School through the 10th grade, at which point it became necessary for her to help out around the house with chores and siblings. Shortly after, she married the love of her life Henry Hukill on December 31, 1956 and they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2007. These two remained partners in life for 57 years until they were seperated by his passing.
Shira is preceded by her parents, Schley and Elizabeth; husband, Henry Hukill; son Montie Hukill; 3 brothers, Leal, Tom and Bud and 2 sisters, Gale and Martha. She is survived by 3 of her children, Randy, Terry and Melida; 3 sisters, Laura, Dale, and Margie, and countless grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a great great grandson.
Shira was a selfless woman and never asked for much, she was very Happy and Blessed with what she had. Even though there were a lot of hard times, she met them all with a smile and made it happen, even though her needs were sometimes great, to the point of doing without, she was still concerned about others and would be there for you. Other than enjoying time with family and friends, she spent most of her time caring for and trying to raise some decent children, supporting her husband, ensuring everyone else's needs were met, and serving the Lord. She enjoyed reading her Bible, doing crossword puzzles, and watching a soap from time to time!!!
