So saddened to hear of Shawn's passing. 

I met Shawn 30 years ago this July and helped me realize my true self. 

Shawn and I both moved to Texas December of 1984 when we were both so young and dumb. At this point in life "the future's open wide" (that was then) :-(

To Mary, Sherman and Marion please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers as Shawn has been all these past years.

So heartbroken to hear of Shawn's passing.

My cousin was an amazing person! He was genuine and kind and loved by many. Our family lost a great person and heaven gained an angel. RIP Shawn.

My brother was kind, caring, but also liked to have fun. This is the qualities that made my brother very special. We live far apart and at times got caught up in our own lives, but we knew we loved each other and we were there for each other if needed. I wish he could have stayed here for he was the kind of person we need more of here. He was always a friend to others and tried to help when he could. He is no longer in pain and for that it is a blessing. I was blessed to have had a great brother. I hope my parents are able to celebrate who he was and how wonderful of a son he was, in time. I thank his friends that have shown my brother and my parents such kindness as they went through this time and as they mourn.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this time. I met Shawn a few years ago and we became instant friends. I feel fortunate to have called him my friend, and am a better person for knowing him. He will always be a part of who I am. To his Mom and Dad, please know how much your son meant to so many, and please accept my sincerest sympathy for your loss. I will never forget the wonderful, funny, caring man Shawn was.
