Scott A. MacPherson, age 71, passed away on August 30, 2022 in Bonham, Texas. He was born in Fresno, California to Calvin and Jean MacPherson. Scott was raised in Fresno where he graduated from McLane High School. He went on to proudly serve as a TSgt in the United States Air Force for 6 years, then in the Air Force Reserves 924th detachment out of Bergstrom AFB in Austin for 17 years. Scott enjoyed a successful career working for the U.S. Treasury Dept. in Austin, Texas for more than 18 years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed working with various Apple products – especially his MAC and iPhone, walking and exercising at both the Austin and Dallas YMCA's, traveling throughout the United States, and cooking. Scott adored cats and had three cats spanning over 32 years.
Scott's family and friends will always remember him as a quiet, gentle soul. He was loyal to his friends and deeply valued their time together.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Jean Gibson; father, Calvin MacPherson; and stepmother, Alice (Green) MacPherson.
Scott is survived by his sister, Bonnie and her husband, Tom Young of Scottsdale, Arizona; his niece, Aylissa Young; nephew, Donovan and his wife, Lauren, and their two children; his close, longtime friend, Charles (Chuck) Schlinke; his uncle Robert, aunt Darlene, and their son, Mark MacPherson of California; and his stepsister, Sharon and husband, Gus Vriniotis of California; and his stepbrother, Colton Green of New York; and other dear friends in Texas and Louisiana.
