Sarah Montgomery

Sarah Gwin Montgomery passed from this world early Friday morning at Baylor Hospital with her parents and sister by her side. Sweet Sarah now rests peacefully in the loving arms of God. Sarah was born June 19, 1985 in Dallas Texas to Dr. James B. (“Jim”) and Nancy Townsend Montgomery. Survived by her parents, Sarah was also the beloved sister of Lacy; cherished cousin of Rob, Wade, Ryan Montgomery and fiance Paige Nettles, Amy Harthausen, her husband Chuck and daughter Ella, and Heath Townsend. She was the adored niece of Robert and Susan Montgomery, Ross and Martha Montgomery, Bob and Missy Townsend and Pamela Townsend; precious granddaughter of Penny Montgomery, and devoted friend to many. Sarah was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bill and Doris Townsend and J.B. and Betty Montgomery. Sarah was a proud, third generation graduate of Woodrow Wilson HS (2003). There, she continued in the traditional Townsend family song and dance footsteps of her grandmother Gaga, mother Nancy, and sister Lacy. Sarah belonged to the Variations Show Choir, and marched with the Sweethearts Drill Team. Following in the Montgomery family Horned Frog footsteps, Sarah graduated from TCU (2008) where she belonged to Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. A loyal TCU Alum and avid TCU football fan, Sarah was very much at home in Fort Worth. Her sweet spirit, quick wit, infectious laugh and sassy sense of fun attracted a legion of friends. Her beautiful soul and smile absolutely lit up the room. Oh sweet Sarah, how we will miss you! The memorial service will be Wednesday, March 21st at 3:00 pm at Munger Place Church, 5200 Bryan St., Dallas, TX 75206. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Munger Place Church Children and Teens Program or to the charity of your choice.
