Among Ruth’s favorite activities were her home Bible studies, gardening, quilting, working at 1st Mondays in Canton, and she was also an avid RV camper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Ocia Maddox; and parents, Opal Mae and Richard Olen Hamiter.
Ruth is survived by son, Richard Wayne Maddox and wife Jeanie; daughter, Sharon Ann Martin and husband Bill C.; grandchildren, Tina Renee Platter and husband Rob Platter, David Timothy Maddox and wife Lauren, Karla Michelle Burke and husband Col. Timothy J. Burke, and Erika Dawn Clark and husband Roland; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Kaylee, Joel, Liam, Billy Carl, Troy, Adam, and Sierra; sister, Nadine Wallentine; brothers, Dan Hamiter and Paul Hamiter; and many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 12:30 to 1:45pm, and will be followed by Funeral Services at 2:00pm, all at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
