Ruben Flores Ramirez

Ruben Flores Ramirez, 74, of Dallas, Texas, passed away October 4, 2023. He was born on July 31, 1949, in Zapotlanejo, Jalisco, Mexico. Ruben was a beloved father, and he is survived by his children Carlos Flores and wife, Crystal, Sandy Castillo and husband, Jose, Marta Varela and husband, Alvaro, Gabby Trammell and husband, Charles, Maria Gembler and husband, Jason, and Guadalupe Flores and husband, Hernan. Ruben also had 18 loving grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Flores Limón, his mother, Guadalupe Ramirez Garcia, and his grandson John Chevez.

Ruben was an entrepreneur of masonry and took great pride in his work. He was not only talented but also dedicated to his craft, making him a respected business owner in his community. His passion for his job was evident in the quality of his work and the satisfaction of his clients.

Beyond his career, Ruben was known for his kind, generous, and loving nature. He had a joyful light that radiated whenever he was around. He was a happy individual who always had a smile on his face, bringing joy to those around him. Ruben loved traveling back to his hometown, cherishing the memories and connections he had with his roots. He was a Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed music.

A viewing will be held at González Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 3050 N Stemmons Fwy, Dallas, TX 75247, on Sunday, October 15, from 12-4pm, and on Monday, October 16, from 4-8pm. The funeral service will take place at St. Edward Catholic Church, located at 4014 Simpson St, Dallas, TX 75246, on Tuesday, October 17, with a mass at 10am. Burial will follow at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220.
