Ruben Cardona Cantu

Ruben was born on October 11, 1976 in Dallas, a son of Ruben Gonzalez Cantu and Josefa Cardona Cantu.

His mother Josefa preceded him death on May 15, 2001. His father Ruben preceded him in death on November 9, 2008. His parents are laid to rest at Calvary Hill Cemetery, where Ruben will be laid to rest as well.

Ruben married the love of his life Brenda on July 14, 1998 in Dallas. Together Ruben and Brenda had two children: Alysia Marie Cantu, and Ruben Raphael Cantu, both of Dallas.

He is also survived by his sister: Claudia Cantu of Denton, brother David (Rosanna) Cantu of Duncanville, and brother Omar (Selina) Cantu of Oakcliff, Dallas.

Nieces and nephews: Samantha, Natalie, Helena, David, Jacquelyn, Josephine, and Omar.

Ruben grew up on Sylvester Street in Dallas, as well as the Oakcliff area. He attended schools in the Oakcliff area.

He loved to fish, enjoyed street racing, fasts, soccer, and baseball. He also a mechanic.

A visitation for Ruben will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel, located at 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220.

The funeral service for Ruben will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2017 at 12:00 Noon also at Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow the funeral service at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
