Roland was born in Nashville, Tennessee December 20, 1915. Roland was a Private 1st Class in the U. S. Army and was honorably discharged July 22, 1945. He met and Married his Love of his Life Eleanor Morton. He worked for the United States Post Office for over 30 years. He received many awards from the Red Cross and Sponsor of World Vision. Roland was preceded in death by wife Eleanor Morton, son John Morton, Clarence Rice, brothers; Leon and James Morton, sisters; Mary, Eva, Fredelia. Leaving to grieve is his sister Dr. Tommie Morton, nieces; Jean Buchanan and Pam, daughter, Rose Grant and husband Stanley Williams, daughter-in-law Luisa Morton, former daughter-in-law’s; Gladys Rice, Della Rice, best friend, Martha Hall and James Johnson and Family. Grandchildren; Michael Morton, Giselle Morton Moody and husband Willie Moody, Melissa T. Morton and husband Ed Thomas, Andre Morton and wife Nikka, Richard Grant and wife April, Jimmy Lewis Jr and wife Michelle, Clarence Rice Jr, Terry Rice, Vickie Sutton, Great Grandchildren; Desiree Moody, Myles Moody, Jimmy Lewis III, Jayana Lewis, Jada Ervin, Elyoja Monterio, Elisha James Morton, Michelle Morton, Daily Morton, Fox Morton, Chancellor Morton, Richard N Grant, Zalen Grant. LaGina Sutton, Daniel Sutton, Jermaine Rice, Tychelle Mitchell, Ladell Dickinson Jr., Vanessa Carter, Michelle Lovett, Jayiana Lovett Host of Dear Friends and Relatives and his Extended Family and Friends from Winter Park Assisted Living.
