Roger Neil Wilson

Roger Neil Wilson, loving father, husband, and friend passed away at home, Monday, March 27, 2023 after a long struggle with heart disease. Roger is survived by his wife Christine, son Brian, daughter-in-law Heather Pinkerton, three grandsons Cordell, Foster, and Walter Wilson. As well as being a wonderful friend to Christine’s children, Sarah and Rodney Diseker, Brian Beyne, Natalie and Jay Rambo and their children, Lukas and Alex who only knew Roger as Grandpa.

Roger was born in Buffalo NY, grew up in Los Angles, attended Fairfax HS and moving to Texas to attend College, where he made life-long friends. Receiving degrees from Texas State Technical College and University of North Texas. Roger is Professor Emeritus and served on the faculty of North Lake College, Irving Texas from 1977 to 2015 in the Department of Construction Management and Technology. Also, Roger loved his summer community service with Hearts and Hammers, the Green Team and Future Builders of Dallas during the 1980-90’s.

Above all Roger loved the Lord, second to; family mealtime, teaching, his students, carpentry, craftsman style architecture, and collecting family heirlooms.

Special appreciation goes to Faith Presbyterian Hospice for the long-term care they gave over the past couple years.

A graveside service for Roger will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75225.
