Stacy was born on September 9, 1959 in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, where he excelled on the golf team. He continued his lifelong love for the game on the golf team at The University of North Texas, from which he graduated with a degree in Real Estate/Finance.
On June 22, 1985 he married his high school sweetheart, Gayle McVey. Stacy started a commercial real estate business, Double Eagle, LLC and was well known and respected among the Dallas real estate community.
He is preceded in death by parents Raymond and Juanita McVey and sister Christy McVey Mora. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Gayle, daughters Meggy and Boni, sister Margie Lindsey and her husband Jim, brother Jack McVey, sister Dianne McVey as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
