Robert “Bob” Fowler Lacy Sr., age 81, of Dallas, Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. Robert was born on June 6, 1942 in Houston, Texas at St. Joseph’s Hospital to parents Gladys Fowler Lacy and William Martin Lacy, Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Connie Lee Lacy, sons Robert Fowler Lacy, Jr. of Dallas, Texas and Edward Lee Lacy of New Orleans, Louisiana. Brother William Martin Lacy, Jr. of Pensacola, Florida. Nephew William Martin Lacy III of Pensacola Florida. Niece Karen J. Brajcki of New Braunfels, Texas. Grandchildren Geneva Lacy and Lee Lacy both of New Orleans, Louisiana. Cousins, Julia S. Hollister, Martha S. Cordell and Margaret S. Carrington. Great and great-great nieces and nephews far too numerous to include here.
Bob served in the US Army and Reserves from 1966 to 1974. Bob was a longtime supporter of, and served in the Boy Scouts as an adult leader for 38 years and was awarded numerous awards including the Silver Beaver Award. Bob served his community by being election judge for Harris County and a Republican Party Precinct Chairman for many years. Bob was a longtime member of Windwood Presbyterian Church of Houston.
